We had a wonderful time at Hummingbird Pond. The place felt so much like home that we hardly left. The kids found so much to do. They spent hours on the rope swing, in the hot tub, and catching news in the pons. Our daughter caught an 18” trout which was the biggest trout we’ve ever seen. It was quite yummy pan fried.
Brutis came down and introduced himself to us by taking an enormous dump on your peony plant by the deck. Once boundaries were set, the dogs had a great time playing together. Our “city dogs” had a lot of fun roaming the property and swimming. It was a real treat for us to vacation with them.
Every one in the family has commented on how well they slept here. The beds are wonderful!
One of your paddles got broken. We purchased a new on one and left it in the shed.
The weather this week was bizarre, to say the least. I feel like we experienced all four seasons. One day we were in shorts on the dock and the next day we were in the hot tub with giant snowflakes falling on our heads.
This has been on of the best family vacations we have ever had!

My brother and I had a great week at Hummingbird Pond. There was so many things to do. We loved the rope swing that goes over the pond and the other rope swing in the woods. We caught tons of fish including a rainbow trout which we breaded and ate. It tasted just like shrimp. We also went up to the road and fed the horse carrots. We found a kayak in the shed and went in it. One day it snowed so we went in the hot tub!

Ginee- It was a wonderful week. Thank you for the extra touches, especially the flowers, which were beautiful! We spent many hours rocking on the porch, talking with our friends from 4th grade, catching up, sowing the world’s problems, laughing, relaxing- We fed the fish, took walks, saw sites around Asheville (Biltmore, etc-) and enjoyed beautiful weather- We'll be back, I’m sure. Its a beautiful house and setting.

We also enjoyed a wonderful time. Flowers & other special touches were appreciated. What is the cats name. We love the cat. Great beds & pillows! Wonderful time had by all . We fed the fish and the cat. Tastefully decorated and a relaxing atmosphere. Than you for a memorable time.

December 2007 We stayed four days/three nights over New Year's Eve. It was just what we needed after our mom pasted away in September. We also had one women finishing up with Chemo after a year. We relaxed, played games, and enjoying each others company. Loved the 2 fireplaces. We never left the place except to go gem mining one day. It was wonderful and the kids even got to see a little snow. The house was set up perfectly for a group and the dogs (3) enjoyed the grounds as well. The owner came and spent some time with us on the last day. Extremely friendly and knowlegeable.
